As reported by the Shields Gazzette, Chelsea youngster Kenedy is all set to return to St. James’ Park on loan for the whole of 2018/19, after weeks of speculation.

The Brazilian made a real impact for the Magpies last season after joining temporarily in January, providing two goals and two assists in 13 appearances – helping the club to a 10th-placed finish in the Premier League.

Fans have been clamouring for Rafa Benitez to re-sign the 22-year-old, after seeing his pace and trickery cause real problems for opposition defenders – and it looks as though they’ll get their wish.

It’ll be a huge boost for the club and the fans, who recognise Kenedy as being the kind of player who can inject life into games with the way he plays.

His dribbling, and the fact that he is direct with pace to burn are things which can certainly light up a despondent crowd – very much in a similar way to how Hatem Ben Arfa used to during his time with the club.

The French winger used to dazzle from either wing and create a buzz with his array of skills, and Kenedy possesses the exact same kind of style and attacking attributes.

Newcastle are crying out for some creative sparks because last season that responsibility fell mainly on the shoulders of Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie, with little help from anyone else. Signing Kenedy will help with that, and he will also be able to provide that wow factor – another big reason why football fans want to go to games; to be entertained.
