Wolves have been linked with Andre Silva for some time but now Huddersfield also want to sign the AC Milan forward.
Wolverhampton Wanderers face competition for the signing of Andre Silva, with Sky Sports reporting that Huddersfield Town are showing interest in the AC Milan forward.
As Birmingham Live reports, Wolves have been linked with Silva for some time, with the 22-year-old represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes – who has already said to have begun discussions with Milan over a transfer.
Mendes has a known relationship with the club’s owners Fosun and already represents several players at Molineux such as Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota and Ivan Cavaleiro; as well as manager Nuno Espírito Santo.
Yet Huddersfield are hoping to supersede that bond by landing Silva themselves, even though as the Telegraph reports they had the smallest budget in the Premier League in 2017/18.
Steve Mounie is their record signing after joining from Montpellier for £11.4m (BBC) and while boss David Wagner is likely to be given increased funds after keeping them up and putting pen to paper on a new three-year contract, it would still seem unlikely they have the money to meet the £27m asking price for the Portugal international.
Silva has been linked with an exit from the San Siro as La Rossoneri look to balance the books in order not to breach Financial Fair Play rules.
