Arsenal suffered back-to-back losses for the first time since August after throwing away a 1-0 lead to Everton to gift the Toffees their first Premier League win of the season since September.
Richarlison and a stunner from Demari Gray inflicted one of the Gunners worst results of the season as Mikel Arteta’s side remain rooted in seventh place, with Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham all winning over the weekend.
The result was a gut-punch to Arsenal fans, especially with Eddie Nketiah and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang missing massive chances last on in the game to salvage something against Everton.
Yet it was Martin Odegaard who was on the scoresheet for the Gunners, with the Arteta signing firing Arsenal ahead just before half-time with well-hit volley from a Kieran Tierney cross.
Indeed, it was Odegaard’s third goal of the season and his second in as many games. Yet despite the former Real Madrid star not getting involved with the game creatively, his attacking presence was felt.
The attacking midfielder had two great chances in the second-half that were blocked by Everton defenders as Arsenal scrambled to find a late point against the Merseyside club.
And whilst supporters on social media are overall fuming with the result and the performance, some fans are happy with how Odegaard performed for Arsenal against Everton.
Arsenal fans laud Odegaard after Everton display

After all, Odegaard scored the opening goal of the match and consistently found himself in the right shooting areas inside the Everton penalty area for Arsenal.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say about Odegaard’s performance at Goodison Park against Everton on Twitter…
