Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to urge the club to sign Ben White as a replacement for Dejan Lovren.

White spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Leeds United from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 22-year-old central defender played an important role in Leeds clinching automatic promotion to the Premier League.

As things stand, the youngster is set to return to his parent club Brighton, who have retained their Premier League status for the 2020-21 campaign.

According to Leeds Live, Liverpool are poised to step up their interest in White, with Lovren leaving for Russian Premier League club Zenit Saint Petersburg.

The report has claimed that Leeds are also very keen to have the 22-year-old back at Elland Road for next season.

However, with Brighton expected to fight against relegation again next season and given the progress that White has made this campaign, the Seagulls may not be willing to sell him, unless, of course, they are made a massive offer.

Some Liverpool fans want the Reds to sign White this summer as a replacement for Lovren.
