The Aston Villa prospect has been eased back into action recently.

Nathaniel Chalobah of Watford and Jack Grealish of Aston Villa during the pre season friendly match between Aston Villa and Watford at Villa Park on July 29, 2017 in Birmingham, England.

It has been a frustrating start to the season for Jack Grealish, with the midfielder having missed nearly three months at the start of the season due to kidney problems.

The 22-year-old has been eased back into action slowly and has featured as a substitute in several recent Championship games but he will be determined to eventually force his way back into the starting line-up.

Grealish has long been seen as a potential future star at Villa and will hope that he can still fulfil his vast potential.

Composed in possession and capable of playing slick passes with regularity, when at his best Grealish can make a major difference to Villa’s play and increase the intensity of their game.

With Villa performing very well at present – they have won four of their last five Championship games and are currently in fourth place in the table – Villa manager Steve Bruce may not be contemplating making many changes to his starting line-up.

However, if Grealish can impress in training and thrive in his substitute appearances then being a regular again is certainly an achievable target.

Grealish can make an impact whether deployed as an attacking midfielder or out wide, with his versatility increasing his chances of featuring more frequently.
