The 20-year-old has a big future at Everton it seems.

Everton’s failure to sign an out-and-out striker this summer has opened the door for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to stake a claim – and he must not miss the opportunity.
Quite a lot of fans of the Goodison Park club were rather miffed last Thursday as manager Ronaldo Koeman failed to sign a striker on deadline day, with moves for Olivier Giroud and Diego Costa mooted earlier in an otherwise excellent summer for the Toffees.
But Calvert-Lewin now has the guts of five months to prove that he was the man whom Koeman needed all along and not a big-money acquisition.

The 20-year-old, a £1.5 million signing from Sheffield United in January, has started two of Everton’s three Premier League games so far, setting up a goal in both of them.
His pace and direct running make him a handful for opposition defenders and the only question is whether Calvert-Lewin can score goals in England’s top flight.

He has been deployed on the wing and even wing-back at times, but coaches at Everton believe he has what it takes to be used in a striking role, according to The Daily Mail.
If he impresses, Calvert-Lewin can save Everton a lot of money and persuade Koeman to keep the £30 million he was prepared to spend on Giroud and use it to bolster another position.
