The Everton youngster is yet to feature for the first-team despite his impressive reputation.
When Everton signed former Anderlecht youngster David Henen back in 2014, the then-18-year-old was tipped for a bright future at Goodison Park.
Unfortunately for the striker-cum-winger, things have not gone according to plan thus far, with Henen failing to make his first-team debut and scoring just 10 goals in 47 under-23 appearances for the Toffees.
Yet that may only be the start of the story, with the arrival of new manager Sam Allardyce potentially giving Henen the motivation he needs to belatedly kick-start his Everton career.
If anyone can motivate a player to perform to their potential it is Allardyce, whose impact has already been felt on Merseyside despite the fact that he has been there a matter of days.
In that time the new Everton boss has overseen a significant upturn in form and Henen will not want to be overlooked when it comes to promoting from within.
The young Belgian has innate talent but needs the drive to go with it…along with his fair share of luck. He will have seen what his senior teammates have already achieved with a new boss at the helm and it will be interesting to see if he followed suit.
