It’s been a difficult season for West Ham United supporters. After such a successful campaign last year, and the big move to the new London Stadium over the summer, many West Ham fans were expecting to be watching their team once again challenge for a place in Europe this season.

But after a slow start to the season, and the dramatic Dimitri Payet saga which led to the Frenchman leaving the Hammers in January, West Ham United’s season has all but fallen apart. Now sat in 14th place, just seven points from the drop zone.

And now it appears another player could be set for a contract revolt. According to a report in The Times, West Ham United midfielder Michail Antonio is looking to the exit door after rejecting a new contract.

The report goes on to suggest that the former Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder’s relationship with the West Ham hierarchy has all but broken down due to a resentment over the club’s handling of a hamstring injury that has ended his season.

With the pressure piling on West Ham manager Slaven Bilic; can his tenure at the club really survive yet another top player asking to leave? West Ham’s leap up the table, and their venture towards becoming a top six side, appears to have really stagnated over the last few months, and some fans feel this is down to their Croatian manager being well out of his depth.

With the summer approaching, and a vital period of recruitment and building for next season about to commence, could West Ham United’s last two games of the season have a big role to play in the future of Slaven Bilic and the London Stadium?
