Jurgen Klopp has told the Daily Mirror that Liverpool forward Diogo Jota can play much better.
Jota scored the winner for Liverpool in their 2-1 victory over Sheffield United at the weekend, as the Portuguese forward continued his impressive start to life at Anfield.
But Klopp believes that Jota’s performances could get even better for Liverpool as he becomes more familiar with their system.
“Diogo scored a super goal and was really involved in the game. But he can be much better, 100 per cent, and that’s good news,” he said.
“He is still adapting. In the moment, a lot of things we do are not natural to him but that’s only because Wolves play different – but a lot of things he did for Wolves are exactly what we want him to do.
“That he is close already is just a sign how good a player he is. If he stays fit, he’s 23 and the future is bright, let me say it like this. We will need his quality and I am really happy that he settled nicely so far.”
Jota now has two Premier League goals already this season for Liverpool, and he is pushing very hard to become a regular starter.

Klopp adapted his system slightly to ensure that Jota started at the weekend, and his display may ensure that he keeps his place again for the Reds’ next game.
Liverpool take on Midtjylland in the Champions League tomorrow, with the games coming thick and fast.
The Reds began their European campaign with a win over Ajax, and if they can collect the three points tomorrow then they will already be in a very commanding position in their group.
