Can Balogun play for the USMNT?
Well, supporters of the USA will be desperate to see the Arsenal loanee declare for their country.
Balogun scored two more goals in Ligue 1 for loan side Reims tonight.
In doing so, the 21-year-old Arsenal hitman has now reached double figures in a major European league.
The Gunners’ academy graduate clearly has a big future ahead of him, at club level, but what about his international prospects?

Can Balogun play for the USMNT?
In a word, yes. Folarin Balogun can play for the United States.
The New York-born marksman has family in America and told L’Equipe – via MLS.com – in recent months that he isn’t ruling out the prospect of representing the Stars and Stripes – even if he considers him English.
He said: “Just like my future at club level, I am not closing any doors regarding international selection. All options remain open. Above everything, I feel English, but I also have an American side, because I have family in New York and I love going there.”
Despite being an England Under-21 striker, Balogun, who can also declare for Nigeria, is a free agent considering his senior career at international level.
But if he comes back to Arsenal next summer and begins tearing up the Premier League, expect to hear increasing calls for him to represent England as soon as possible.
