Kevin Campbell has made it clear there is ‘no chance’ Arsenal sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, as he told the Highbury Squad Podcast.

It was suggested to the former striker and Highbury Squad host, Sophie Nicolaou, about Arsenal possibly signing the player, but they both batted it away.

Rashford is finding life difficult at Old Trafford lately and his performance during his side’s 1-0 FA Cup win against Aston Villa summed everything up.

Arsenal need forward players and added depth to their striker line, especially with key players out of contract soon and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seemingly playing his last game for the club.

But that won’t come in the form of a Manchester United academy product that has probably been out of form for well over a year now.

Nonetheless, this was the simple response from Highbury Squad host, Sophie Nicolaou, and former Gooner, Campbell, on Rashford to Arsenal.

“Someone was asking about Marcus Rashford,” Nicolaou. “Marcus Rashford isn’t coming to Arsenal people. That’s not happening. Not happening at all.”

Campbell added: “No chance.”

Rashford made a name for himself as a young teenager against Arsenal when he netted a brace on his Premier League debut.

That rawness the England international had in his game has seemingly been lost of late and he needs to rediscover that magic.

When Mason Greenwood charged down Villa’s flank on Monday night, his shot was parried by Emiliano Martinez, but for some strange reason, Rashford stood still and decided not to get to the rebound.

The Old Trafford crowd didn’t respond in a pleasant manner to his actions, or lack of them, but it would be a surprise if Rashford is in the XI for Man United’s clash at Villa Park on Saturday because he simply isn’t at the races.
