Kevin Campbell praised Laura Woods on Twitter after she hit back at Jamie O’Hara’s comments about Arsenal and finishing in the Champions League places.
The former midfielder suggested that Arsenal should be sitting in the top-four places in the Premier League table because they ‘spent £150 million’ during the summer transfer window.
This despite O’Hara suggesting, at the start of the season, that he felt this squad of players at Arsenal would finish outside of the top-four.
TalkSport presenter, and Arsenal fan, Woods defended her club by making it clear that it would be an over-achievement if they secured fourth.
She tied up O’Hara in all sorts of knots when discussing Arsenal with the former Spurs player, as Campbell added on Twitter that she had him ‘in reverse’.
At the start of the season, many were backing both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Chelsea, at the very least, to finish above the Gunners.
Then there is the reaction to their summer signings, which was met with criticism and questions, at the time.
From the signing of Aaron Ramsdale to the young squad Mikel Arteta had to choose from.
But, despite all that, including a horror start to the season, Arsenal are well and truly in the driving seat in returning to Champions League football.
Arteta’s side are, not only one-point ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, but they also have three games in hand.
