Earlier this week, Arsenal were linked with quite an odd swap deal.
According to CMW in Italy, the Gunners may be willing to sacrifice Takehiro Tomiyasu in a player-plus-cash arrangement to bring Denzel Dumfries of World Cup stardom to North London, as covered by HITC Sport.
The Inter Milan attacker has lit up Qatar with the Netherlands at times in recent weeks.
And suffice to say that many-an-Arsenal supporter would absolutely love to see him at the Emirates Stadium, even if it means losing the Japan international.
However, Kevin Campbell isn’t convinced and repeated the two-word phrase ‘not happening’ when asked if Dumfries could be signed at the expense of losing Tomiyasu.
He told The Highbury Squad: “Not happening. Let’s move on. Speculation – that’s all it is. It’s not happening.”

Is it happening? In all likelyhood, nope.
Tomiyasu hasn’t been playing as much as he’d expect this season, but that doesn’t mean he’s suddenly not needed by Mikel Arteta.
Ben White has established himself as Arsenal’s primary right-back since August, with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes forming an excellent central defender partnership beside him.
But still, Tomiyasu remains a massive player for the Emirates Stadium outfit and although Dumfries is an excellent winger, any deal for the Dutchman would surely be independent and not requiring someone else to leave.
