Kevin Campbell has claimed that Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane, has been ‘unbelievable’ for the club, as he told the Highbury Squad.

But, during that period, the former striker also thinks that Mane has gone ‘under the radar’ in Liverpool colours.

Well, the 29-year-old certainly didn’t go unnoticed during these past few weeks after he helped Senegal win their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations title.

Whilst it was heartache for Mo Salah and his Egypt side, it was pure elation for his Anfield teammate.

Both players have been utterly formidable for the Reds over the years and Campbell shared how they will be ‘hard to replace’ when they leave.

“Mane goes under the radar, for me, at times,” said Campbell. “Salah has been incredible. But Mane has been unbelievable as well.

“He has scored over 100 goals too. You think about these two players have scored well over 200 goals between them and they are wide forwards, that is hard to replace.”

During his time in England’s top-flight, Mane has scored 103 goals from his 249 Premier League matches – for Southampton and mainly Liverpool.

It’s a remarkable record for a player that has played as an inside forward, but also for a Saints team that weren’t in Europe when he was at St Mary’s.

As for Salah, who played for a brief period with Chelsea, he has scored 113 league goals from his 178 matches in England’s top-flight.

Those records have hit remarkable heights during their time on Merseyside and Jurgen Klopp deserves so much credit for how he has helped them over the years.
