Soccer may not be the most popular sport in the USA, but the fans certainly know how to make a good atmosphere.

The USMNT have been knocked out of the tournament already, losing to Belgium 4-1 in the Round of 16.

Belgium then clashed with Spain in the quarter-finals on Friday, losing the match at SoFi Stadium, which is the home of the Los Angeles Chargers, and where Cameron Dicker plays.

Cameron Dicker says soccer atmospheres are better than any in the NFL

Cameron was in attendance for the Spain and Belgium game this week and spoke to Snapback Sports.

When doing so, the NFL star was asked to comment on the atmosphere inside the stadium.

He admitted that the USMNT’s first game of the World Cup, which took place at the Los Angeles Stadium, was the best atmosphere he had ever been a part of in the stadium.

Cameron went on to admit that soccer has better atmospheres than any NFL game.

He said: “This has been good today. The opening game for the US that I went to here was the best atmosphere in this stadium I’ve been to, including our games, including our games, best atmosphere.

“I mean, I think soccer atmospheres are better than any NFL atmospheres.”

For some context, the NFL’s marquee match each year is the Super Bowl, with the most recent edition garnering somewhere around 125 million viewers.

In comparison, the 2022 World Cup final had around 2 billion people watching from around the globe.

With such a big audience, it is perhaps not surprising that soccer fans are able to create better atmospheres than sports that are only really popular in America.
