Manchester United-owned Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has joined Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old left-back moved to Championship outfit Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Premier League giants United earlier this month.
The England Under-20 international started the Whites’ EFL Cup first-round tie against Port Vale at Elland Road last week.
The left-back started for the West Yorkshire outfit against Preston North End at Elland Road in the Championship at the weekend as well.
Borthwick-Jackson is a very talented and promising young left-back, and the 20-year-old has explained his decision to move to Leeds in the summer transfer window.
The United youngster has also revealed that there was interest from other clubs, but he choose Leeds instead.
“It was the history behind the club,” Borthwick-Jackson told The Yorkshire Post about his decision to join Leeds. “It’s a massive club and the way they play suits my style as well.
“There were a lot of factors but I am just looking forward to playing. There was interest from elsewhere but this is where I wanted to come for the stated reasons.”
Borthwick-Jackson has done well for Leeds so far, and the left-back could prove to be an important player for Leeds this season.
The 20-year-old did not have a great time in the Championship last season during a loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the Elland Road faithful should be optimistic about him.
