Leeds United travel to face Cambridge United in the third round of the FA Cup.
Cambridge United goalkeeper Will Norris has suggested that Leeds United are a club of the same sort of stature as Manchester United ahead of their FA Cup tie on Monday night, the Cambridge News reports.
The Whites are flying high in the Championship currently. Garry Monk’s men are fifth in the table, having won four and drawn one of their last five in the league.
However, this weekend will see Leeds switch their attention to the third round of the competition, and a potentially tricky tie away against a side currently managed by their former player Shaun Derry.
And ahead of the contest, Norris has suggested that the game has a similar feeling to what it was like in the build-up to Cambridge’s cup tie with the Premier League giants in 2015.
Cambridge’s Will Norris
“It’s got the same sort of feeling as the Man United game and it’s the same sort of calibre of opposition as they’re a really big team,” he said, as reported by the Cambridge News.
“We’ll do our preparation, we’ll work hard and it’s going to be another special night for the whole football club.
“We need to do our homework, work hard on the training ground and when the night comes around we’ll see what happens.”

On that occasion, the League Two club raised their game in the first tie as they held the Red Devils to a goalless draw, before losing the replay at Old Trafford.
And it is not out of the question for another upset to be on the cards. They are doing well in the fourth tier and have experience of coming out on top against Championship sides this term, having beaten Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup back in August.
And with Norris’ assessment suggesting that they will have no problem finding motivation for the clash, Leeds will know that taking their foot off the pedal could cost them dearly.
