Chambers is a talented and versatile defender who can operate at centre-back or at right-back.

The England international has been on the books of Arsenal since the summer of 2014 when he joined them from Southampton.

The youngster featured in 23 Premier League matches for the Gunners during the 2014-15 campaign, scoring one goal and creating 11 chances in the process.

During the 2015-16 season, Chambers was able to play in just 12 Premier League games for the North London outfit.

Middlesbrough won promotion to the Premier League from the Championship at the end of last season.

Aitor Karanka’s side have done pretty well so far in the English top flight and do have a squad that can fend off relegation back to the Championship.
