Callum Wilson was recording his podcast during Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leicester City on Monday night and the Newcastle United striker had a brilliant reaction to Curtis Jones netting a brace.

The 17-goal man stated, ‘ahh, I don’t want to hear that now’ as he realised that Liverpool were, at the time, 2-0 up and keeping up their hopes of securing an unlikely Champions League finish.

Callum Wilson then noticed that it was Curtis Jones who had scored both of Liverpool’s opening goals and he added ‘What’s Curtis Jones doing as well? He doesn’t even score goals’, as he told the Footballer’s Football Podcast.

In truth, Wilson isn’t wrong because, before April, the Anfield academy product had zero goals and zero assists to his name this term.

But, in recent weeks, the 22-year-old has started to pick things up and those numbers are starting to head towards a positive direction.

It leaves the Reds asking Newcastle and Manchester United questions and keeping the pressure on them in the race to finish in the top four, with Wilson recording his podcast with Michail Antonio during Monday night’s game and reacting to it as he realised the scores.

“Ahh, Liverpool 2-0 up, I don’t want to hear that right now, blud,” screamed Wilson as he was filming his podcast. “Come on, I need them to lose.

“Oh my God. What’s Curtis Jones doing as well?! He doesn’t even score goals. He is scoring two.

Michail Antonio was laughing in the background and he proceeded to add: “This audio is staying in, by the way. This is staying in!”

Wilson then added: “Curtis Jones, two out of everyone. He’s banging them and that.”

LIVERPOOL KEEP TOP FOUR HOPES ALIVE

The Reds are one point behind Manchester United and Newcastle, but the duo have a game in hand on those from Merseyside.

They only need two wins from three and then they will be playing Champions League football next season.

But, any slip-ups, then Liverpool’s winning train, which has won seven on the bounce, isn’t showing any signs of stopping and they will be there to pounce if their rivals drop points from now until the final ball is kicked.
