Tottenham Hotspur should go all out to sign the Bournemouth hitman this summer.
It seems as though Tottenham are going to be very busy during this summer’s transfer window.
The Daily Mail claims that Spurs are prepared to break their transfer record twice, with moves for Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso.
The duo would cost well in excess of £100 million, which represents a real problem for the north London outfit, because in truth, they really need to buy a top class forward too, if they are to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
One way of raising funds will be by selling Christian Eriksen, with the Mirror claiming that Tottenham will demand £130 million for the Dane.
They could also raise additional funds by selling Vincent Janssen, Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld and Victor Wanyama.
And if Mauricio Pochettino does manage to supplement his transfer budget by selling some of his players, he should not hesitate to make a move for Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
The problem for Tottenham is that he will set them back £60 million (London Evening Standard), and that would be a big risk for Pochettino and the club’s board.
Wilson, 27, is a real threat, and he would provide excellent competition for Harry Kane.
He could also play up top with Kane as part of a two-pronged attack, giving Tottenham the option of mixing up their tactics if the need arises.
If Spurs are to have any chance of signing the England international, however, they must move on some of the players who have been linked with an exit from the club this summer.
And maybe then, £60 million might just seem like a realistic price for Tottenham to pay for the Bournemouth front-man.
