Callum Wilson could leave Newcastle United
90min have reported that Newcastle want to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that England international striker Wilson “could potentially leave St. James’ Park in the summer”.
Alexander Isak has been playing well for Newcastle recently, and Wilson has had injury problems for the Magpies.
The 31-year-old has made 16 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle so far this season.
The £92,000-a-week (SalarySport) striker has scored 11 goals and given four assists in those games.
Wilson – described as “incredible” by Newcastle manager Eddie Howe in The Independent in March 2023 – is under contract at the Premier League club until the summer of 2023.

HITC Verdict: Summer exit could happen
In our view, Callum Wilson could leave Newcastle United at the end of the season.
Isak joined the Magpies only last summer, and the 23-year-old is clearly a striker Newcastle have high hopes for.
Wilson is a good striker, but he is in his 30s now and is also injury-prone.
If Newcastle get into the UEFA Champions League, then they will want a better calibre of players, and we should not be surprised if Wilson is offloaded.
