Callum Wilson has praised Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings, after his England debut last night.

Villa defender Mings caught the eye in a Three Lions shirt, after he put in a composed display against Bulgaria.

The powerful defender helped the Three Lions keep a clean-sheet, as they demolished their opponents to take a step closer to qualifying for Euro 2020.

And £70 million-rated Wilson (Daily Mail), who came on as a substitute in the contest, was full of praise for the Villa centre-back.

Mings’ performance for England last night should have helped him establish his place in Gareth Southgate’s set-up.

England have looked poor at the back recently, but Mings helped them look far more assured.

The 26-year-old’s attention will now turn back to club matters with Villa, where he will be wanting to keep up his impressive start to the campaign.

Dean Smith’s side are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion.
