Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Callum Wilson has claimed that Leeds United are now the team most in danger of being relegated this season.
Everton and Burnley have somewhat snuck up on the Whites, and now, all of a sudden, Leeds are right back in the relegation mix, and with tough fixtures ahead of them, the Yorkshire club are in serious trouble.
Burnley and Everton both have an easier run-in than Leeds, and according to Wilson, Jesse Marsch’s side could be headed for the Championship.
What’s been said?
Wilson spoke about the ongoing relegation battle.
“If I had to choose, it looks like with the remaining fixtures, Leeds could be in trouble. I just feel that with the remaining fixtures and the momentum that Everton have got after beating Chelsea, that could be what they need to lift themselves out. Burnley have done tremendously to get themselves into this position because they looked down and out, and they’re the ones in form at the moment, so I think it’s Leeds who will be in trouble,” Wilson said.

Bleak
There’s no hiding from it, things look bleak for Leeds right now.
The Whites’ next two games are against Arsenal and Chelsea, and if they lose both of those – as they are expected to, they could well be in the bottom three with just two matches to spare.
Of course, their final two fixtures being against Brighton and Brentford could be a saving grace, but Leeds have struggled to put two wins together all season, so pulling something out of the bag there is easier said than done.
Leeds need to find something from somewhere if they’re going to stay up.
