Callum Wilson has said that if he was Arthur Melo, he would have never even acknowledged Pep Guardiola after Manchester City equalised against Liverpool.
Jamie O’Hara was also perplexed by how the Brazilian international behaved by shaking the Spanish manager’s hand after Julian Alvarez made it 1-1 against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Now, Callum Wilson has gone on to give his perspective on what Arthur Melo did as he was shocked by his reaction to Pep Guardiola on Saturday.

After the Reds took a lead at the Etihad Stadium courtesy of Mohamed Salah, City bit back with a well-worked strike that was finished by Julian Alvarez.
As the opposition manager laid his hand out for Kostas Tsimikas to shake, he simply decided to walk away.
But when it came to the Juventus loanee, he obliged while returning a smile.
Callum Wilson was shocked by how Arthur Melo reacted and said that if he was in his place, he would not have acknowledged Pep Guardiola.
“I just think if that’s me walking past, my head is falling off when the manager is celebrating in front of me. I’m not ever shaking his hand and some of your people were doing that”, he told BBC’s Footballer’s Football Podcast.

A lot was made of Guardiola’s wild celebrations, with many deeming his attempt to shake the Liverpool players’ hands as a disrespectful gesture.
Of course, that is unlikely to be the case as Pep Guardiola tends to only have kind words to say about Liverpool but it was mystifying to see Arthur Melo shake his hand, as Callum Wilson said.
Considering the visitors had just conceded a goal and especially when the side has been in such poor touch as Klopp and Co., that isn’t the best look to say the least.
