The Aston Villa youngster has produced some excellent displays at U23 level recently.
Aston Villa youngster Callum O’Hare has already been involved with the first-team so far this season and, on the evidence of the midfielder’s latest performance for the club’s U23 side, he could soon become an important part of Steve Bruce’s plans.
O’Hare, who can play as a central midfielder or on either flank and has been capped by England at U20 level, has featured three times in the Championship this campaign and was an unused substitute as Villa beat Ipswich Town 2-0 on Saturday.
Yesterday O’Hare was back playing for Villa U23s and he was in inspired form as he scored and provided an assist in a 2-1 victory away to Norwich City.
Last month O’Hare scored a hat-trick against Newcastle United U23s, while he has six goals in seven games for the second string this campaign.
Composed in possession and excellent technically, O’Hare is an excellent talent and the 19-year-old is highly rated at Villa, as shown by the fact that he was given a new deal last month.
Villa are performing well at present and have won their last three Championship games in succession as they push for promotion, so there isn’t much of a need for Bruce to make significant alterations to his side.
However, O’Hare’s excellent displays should encourage Bruce to give him more game time, when possible, as a substitute in the Championship to enable him to become increasingly accustomed to senior football and to help persuade him that he could have a future at the club.
