It does not appear that Aston Villa fans will be getting their wish of Callum O’Hare playing later this evening, as he featured for the claret and blues’ development side last night.

HITC covered how Villa fans were urging Bruce to pick O’Hare for this evening’s clash with Preston North End.

However, the winger was selected to start for Villa’s under-23’s last night, which means it is highly unlikely he will be picked tonight.

O’Hare got on the scoresheet and claimed an assist for Villa, in a 6-1 victory over Wolves.

Bruce is without both Jack Grealish and Albert Adomah against Preston which leaves spaces in attacking midfield up for grabs.

But it could be that the likes of Lewis Grabban and Josh Onomah are given the nod, over O’Hare.

Bruce has tended to favour his more experienced options this term, and that trend looks likely to continue.

Villa are under pressure to pick up the three points tonight, as they look to keep pressure on the top two.
