Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly keen to add Callum O’Dowda to his squad at Elland Road.
Leeds United would be making a big upgrade on Jack Harrison, if they land Callum O’Dowda from Bristol City this summer.
And the Irishman’s arrival at Elland Road would make their attack more of a threat than it was last season.
Harrison did a solid job at Leeds after joining on loan from Manchester City, but he was far from remarkable.
Harrison failed to make an impact in a number of matches during Leeds’ campaign, and ended the season with four goals and three assists.
The 22-year-old did a credible job at Leeds, but O’Dowda would provide more excitement.
The Bristol City man actually posted similar figures to Harrison last campaign, with four goals and five assists to his name, but he did so in considerably less time than Harrison.
O’Dowda played over 1,000 minutes less than Harrison last term, and still proved to be more productive than the Leeds man.
The 24-year-old is also a more direct threat than Harrison, and possesses more skill and trickery.
O’Dowda could really thrive in Marcelo Bielsa’s side, which encourages his attacking players to express their creativity in the final third.
And Leeds would be making a very impressive addition if they are able to bring in O’Dowda this summer, as he could make them an even bigger threat for next campaign.
