The Leeds United youngster impressed this weekend.

Leeds United’s senior side may be struggling to pick up points in recent weeks but the club’s under-18s recorded an impressive 5-2 victory against their Barnsley counterparts this weekend.
Leeds’ goals came courtesy of a Callum Nicell brace and strikes from Samuel Amissah, Jack Clarke and Theo Hudson, and the former can be particular pleased with his day’s work.

Clarke and Hudson often take the plaudits when Leeds’ next generation take to the pitch, and rightly so, but 17-year-old Nicell proved his worth this time round, scoring the first two goals after impressive play down the right flank.
The midfielder nodded home after his initial shot had been parried by the goalkeeper and he made no mistake as another low cross came his way shortly after.

Scholars Amissah, Clarke and Hudson then put the finishing touches to a fine win and ensures Leeds fans can rest easy that the future appears to be bright.
The problem for Whites supporters is that the first-team continue to struggle, both at Elland Road and elsewhere, and their latets defeat to Brentford on Saturday was their seventh loss in their last eight matches.
That is simply not good enough and Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen needs to put the boot in and make some necessary changes before it is too late.
