Celtic’s squad have been in training with Brendan Rodgers for over a week now.

Callum McGregor has informed Celtic’s official site that Brendan Rodgers has told everyone at Parkhead that they will be handed a fresh start under his management.
McGregor was handed his first chance at Celtic by Rodgers’ predecessor, Ronny Deila, but he was not a regular starter for the Bhoys.
McGregor failed to hold down a starting spot in Celtic’s team over the two seasons that Deila was there, but he is hoping to be part of Rodgers’ plans.

And the attacking midfielder said: “Things are fresh, it’s a new season and it’s fresh in everyone’s mind that we’re striving to go on and do better this year. You always see that when a new manager comes in – it is a fresh start for everybody and I don’t think it’s any different this time.
“The manager has said it and it gives the boys who maybe haven’t played as much a boost and a fresh impetus to go and do well and try to get in the team. There is competition for places but that drives the standard of everything up, so it’s great for everybody.”
Rodgers has been training Celtic’s squad for just over a week now, following their return for pre-season.

Celtic spent a week in Glasgow before travelling to Slovenia last Monday, where they will spend time on tour.
Rodgers has already spoken of how impressed he has been with the talent in Celtic’s squad, and his assistant manager Chris Davies has also stated that he has been pleasantly surprised by the attitude of the players at Parkhead.
Celtic are set to play three friendly matches in Slovenia, ahead of their Champions League qualifying match in July.
Celtic will take on either Lincoln of Gibraltar or FC Tallinn in their first competitive match of the season.
