Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor says that he and his teammates have to play well every week in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has told The Daily Record that he and his teammates have to be on top of their game every week.
The Bhoys are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and are firm favourites to win the title.
The Hoops have the strongest squad in Scotland and have some of the best players in the division.
Celtic should be able to win the Scottish Premiership title with relative ease this season, but McGregor believes that the players have to play to the best of their abilities every week.
The 23-year-old midfielder has also observed that opposition teams raise their game when they come to play at Celtic Park.

“We can handle ourselves,” McGregor told The Daily Record. “A prime example was up at Aberdeen where it was a bit of a battle up there and we won 1-0.
“So it’s not just the wins by four, five, six – we can do the ugly side of the game as well such as standing up to a team like Inverness who come to our place and are physical. We need to deal with that kind of thing.
“All teams raise their game at Celtic Park and we have to be at our top level every week, stand up to these challenges and we showed that on Saturday.”

McGregor made the comments following Celtic’s win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership at the weekend.
Second-half goals from Scott Sinclair, Leigh Griffiths and Tom Rogic saw the Bhoys register a 3-0 victory at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.
Brendan Rodgers’s side will take on Kilmarnock away from home at Rugby Park in the Scottish Premiership after the international break.
