Celtic central midfielder Callum McGregor has given his take on a truly astounding stat about him to The Scottish Sun.

According to The Scottish Sun, McGregor has made 50 appearances for Celtic already this season, six more than any other footballer in the world.

The 25-year-old has been a key figure for the Hoops so far this season and has been one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership.

The Scotland international has given his take on the stat, and the central midfielder seems happy to be playing regularly for the Hoops.

McGregor told The Scottish Sun: “I did get sent a tweet saying that I’ve played more games than anyone else in football this season. It’s six more games than any other player in world football. That was good to see.

“It does show that I’m on the right path and playing well. I think I’ve played most 90 minutes as well. It’s just as well I feel alright! I do want to keep going, keep pushing on, and doing it for Celtic.”

McGregor has been on the books of Celtic his entire professional club football career so far and is a serial winner.

The 25-year-old has won the Scottish Premiership title four times, the Scottish League Cup thrice, and the Scottish Cup on two occasions.

According to WhoScored, the central midfielder has made 24 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic so far this season, scoring three goals in the process.
