Napoli star José Callejon has claimed that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign him, but insists that he is happy where he is.
Napoli forward José Callejon has encouraged further transfer speculation by stating that he believes Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho would like to sign him.
Callejon was one of the revelations of last season after joining Napoli from Real Madrid in July 2013 for around £8.5 million.
The 27-year-old provided a creative spark and scored 15 goals as Napoli finished third in Serie A and won the Coppa Italia.
There has been repeated speculation that Callejon could leave Napoli this summer with a variety of destinations mooted, including Atletico Madrid and Chelsea.
And while the Spaniard has cooled talk of a Napoli exit, he feels he would be welcomed at Stamford Bridge.
“I have heard lots of talk about me,” he said in an interview with a Napoli fans’ magazine called E’ Azzurro.
“I also know that Mourinho is interested in me.
“Last year I made a choice and I don’t regret it. I am happy in this team and in this city and I will be staying at Napoli.”
Chelsea were previously tipped to put down £26 million for Callejon and Atletico Madrid have allegedly set £16 million aside for him, but no concrete bid appears to have been made.
