Ex-Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha is already attracting interest.

According to Multimedios in Mexico, recently-sacked Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has turned down a return to former club Santos Laguna – but other clubs are lining him up.
Caixinha, 46, became Rangers manager back in March, as the Gers took a major gamble on the former bullfighter as their replacement for Mark Warburton – but the gamble did not pay off.
Despite being given time and money to retool almost his entire squad over the summer, Caixinha continuously came up short in big games, losing to Celtic on a couple of occasions, failing to see off Luxembourg’s Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League, and even losing to Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup semi-final this season – which proved to be his penultimate game.

After a 1-1 home draw with Kilmarnock last month, Caixinha was shown the door, with his Ibrox reign lasting just seven months in what proved to be a terrible appointment for Rangers.
Caixinha is now out of work, but Multimedios in Mexico report that he has already received one offer since leaving Ibrox, with former club Santos Laguna keen to land him – but the Portuguese boss has said no.
Santos Laguna sacked manager Jose Manuel de la Torre in September, and have been searching for a replacement, with Caixinha one option given that he spent almost three years in charge between November 2012 and August 2015.

With a win rate of more than 44% with Santos, Caixinha may have been tempted to head back to his former club, embracing familiar surroundings after his Rangers nightmare – but he isn’t interested in a return.
The report does though add that Caixinha is likely to return to Mexico, with Cruz Azul and Chivas Guadalajara lining him up in case respective managers Paco Jemez and Matias Almeyda depart, whilst UNAM – also searching for a new manager – are also interested, meaning Caixinha may not be out of work for very long at all.
