Pedro Caixinha is crying out for a spark to save his Rangers job after his side were knocked out of the Betfred Cup on Sunday afternoon by Motherwell.
The Gers suffered a 2-0 loss to Stephen Robinson’s side in the semi-final of the competition without putting up much of a fight, and question marks have now risen over Caixinha’s future at Ibrox.
Following the defeat, former Rangers striker Steven Thompson blasted Caixinha by stating that he cannot see how the 46-year-old can have any future in the Gers dugout.
Thompson was not impressed with his former side.
With Kilmarnock up next for the 54-time Scottish Premiership champions on Wednesday night, a win is a must for the former Santos Laguna boss and finding inspiration from within his squad is key.
That should see Caixinha place his trust in exciting young winger Dalcio, who has been given little opportunity to make an impact with Rangers since joining the club this summer on a season-long loan from Benfica.
Daniel Candeias and Josh Windass are currently Caixinha’s go-to options out wide, but Portuguese ace Candeias is struggling to form any kind of consistency and Windass has scored only one goal in 12 games this season.

Offering bags of pace and trickery, Dalcio possesses the ability to drift past an opponent and create something out of nothing in a side that are lacking creativity; something Candeias and Windass are struggling to provide.
Rangers have won just two of their last six outings and placing 21-year-old Dalcio in his starting line-up to face Kilmarnock could be just what the Gers need if they are to get their 2017-18 campaign back on track.
