Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the midfield ace.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Cagliari midfield ace Nicolo Barella over the past six months, with the Sun reporting in January that Mauricio Pochettino was prepared to part with £35 million to bring him to north London.
And it seems as though Spurs have received a huge boost in their hopes of signing the Italian youngster.
Cagliari boss Rolando Maran spoke exclusively to Radio anch’io sport, and suggested that the 22-year-old is ready to leave the Sardegna Arena for a ‘great team’:
“Cagliari would struggle to keep him for one more year, Nicolò is ready for a great team, but now we finish this year in the best possible way: he’s doing well, he’s showing his qualities. It’s all to be seen, he’s ready to play in a big club.”

Tottenham should be encouraged by those comments, and they will surely not hesitate to move for Barella now in the summer.
The Italian really would be an excellent addition for Spurs, and he would help fill the void left behind by Mousa Dembele, after the Belgian left for China in January.
Whether £35 million will be enough to get the job done for Tottenham, however, remains to be seen.
