Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter believe that the end is nigh for Joe Hart in North London.

On Saturday, Spurs confirmed their first summer signing following the announcement that they had brought in Pierluigi Gollini.

The Italian goalkeeper has joined Tottenham on a season-long loan from Atalanta in Serie A.

What this means is that Hart – who earns £50,000 per week at the club – is going to be Nuno Espirito Santo’s third-choice option between the sticks.

And with Alfie Whiteman impressing in pre-season under the Portuguese, there’s even no guarantee of Hart keeping that title.

Here’s what some Tottenham fans are saying on Twitter:

Are they right?

If we’re honest, yes. Yes they are.

With Premier League winners medals and 75 England caps, Hart shouldn’t settle for being Tottenham’s third-choice goalkeeper – and he probably isn’t going to, which means an exit is very much on the cards.

That being said, his experience is important for the Lilywhites.

Remember, this is a club that has won diddly squat in 13 years and given Hart’s experience in terms of winning things, he still could be an invaluable figure to have in the dressing room.
