Danny Batth scored for Wolves as they drew at Charlton.
Wolves defender Danny Batth has expressed his delight at scoring his first goal of the season in the 1-1 draw away to Charlton.
The 23-year-old believes his side were unfortunate not to get the win, but his all round performance was a key part of why they were able to at least come away with a draw.
Batth made more clearances than any other Wolves defender and completed a higher percentage of his passes, on the way to helping his side secure a crucial point.
| Position | Team | Effective Clearance | Passing Accuracy | Ball Recovery | Won Tackle | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Danny Batth | DF | Wolves | 12 | 93% | 2 | 1 | 90 |
| Richard Stearman | DF | Wolves | 9 | 88% | 7 | 0 | 90 |
| Matt Doherty | DF | Wolves | 6 | 86% | 5 | 1 | 90 |
| Scott Golbourne | DF | Wolves | 3 | 92% | 8 | 0 | 90 |
Wolves fired in a total of 19 efforts on goal, compared to Charlton’s 11, with five on target against two.
It’s nice when a centre-back pops up to score a goal, but the problem for the visitors last night was the wastefulness in attack, with striker Leon Clarke failing to find the target with any of his four shots on goal.
