Rio Ferdinand has told BT Sport that West Ham United boss David Moyes has proven a lot of people wrong already.
When Moyes was appointed as West Ham boss it is fair to say he was not the most popular manager who could have been placed in charge.
However, the Scot has enjoyed great success at the London Stadium since he arrived.
West Ham’s win over Crystal Palace last night has now elevated them into the top four.
And Ferdinand had nothing but praise for the way his former side are playing.
“The Hammers will be buzzing with that [fourth in the league],” he said.
“There was a few people saying ‘is he the right man?’, you saw it when he got signed as the manager. But he’s come in here and really rolled his sleeves up and got his team working for him. You can see his team starting to thrive and flourish – the signings are paying off.

“They are scoring goals freely, Antonio has been great the last couple of weeks.
“They are not only getting results, they are showing character within games – coming back from 1-0 down today.
“10 games they’ve won, only Leicester, Manchester United and City have won more games.”
West Ham thoroughly dominated against Palace, despite the scoreline suggesting the game was fairly close.
The Hammers are now on one of their strongest runs of the season, and have won their last six games in a row across all competitions.
Moyes’s side will really be able to outline their top four credentials if they can keep their run of form going at the weekend, as they take on Liverpool on Sunday in their next game.
