James Milner has taken to Twitter to react over Harvey Elliott’s return to full training.

The 18-year-old Liverpool midfielder hasn’t kicked a ball under Jurgen Klopp since dislocating his ankle in a victory at Leeds United back in September.

It has been 129 days since the former Fulham prospect last represented the Reds.

However, Elliott was present in full training at the Axa centre on Tuesday afternoon ahead of Thursday’s League Cup semi-final with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

And here’s how Milner reacted to the teen sensation’s presence in the yesterday’s session:

Massive

This really is such a massive boost for Liverpool.

Remember, Naby Keita is away with Guinea at Africa Cup of Nations duty.

And with Thiago Alcantara and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both injured, the German manager’s midfield is looking a little bit on the short side right now.

However, Elliott’s return illustrates that he’ll be a very useful option for Klopp.

Okay so he won’t be going straight into the starting lineup in North London, granted, but Elliott must be really close to getting back to regular football at Liverpool.

And when he does, the sight of him deceiving Premier League opposition, tormenting them despite his age, will be a very welcome one for everyone affiliated with the Anfield outfit.
