Arsenal fans are dreaming at the prospect of signing Jack Grealish after Mikel Arteta spoke highly of the Aston Villa playmaker ahead of tonight’s game.

Aston Villa will visit the Emirates Stadium hoping to spoil Arteta’s party after Arsenal secured a valuable 1-0 win at Manchester United last time out.

If Dean Smith’s side are to get anything from the game then their star man and boyhood fan has to be on-form.

But it seems he already has an admirer in the Arsenal boss, which has got a number of Arsenal fans excited.

“He is a top player, great talent,” Arteta told Arsenal’s official website. “He is a player who can make a difference at any moment in the game. He has this personality against any opponent, at any ground, to take the ball in any area of the pitch and he can make the difference, so we have to look after him.”

Whilst the likes of Gabriel and Thomas Partey have made a much-needed change to this Arsenal side, they are still missing that creative talent.

A number of the Emirates faithful feel that Grealish, who has four goals and four assists in the league this season, can provide them with that spark.

He is comfortable on the ball in all areas and more importantly, he can take the ball under pressure and move it forward even if he has a number of players surrounding him.

No-one in Europe carried the ball furthest than the Solihull-born player last season, so it’s understandable why the Arsenal faithful liked what Arteta had to say about him.

They do acknowledge that they would have to break the bank to secure his signature, as it seems Grealish will have admirers watching when he takes to the Emirates turf tonight.
