Rio Ferdinand has said on his YouTube channel that Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United should sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
The former Manchester United defender believes that Zaha would be a brilliant signing for Newcastle and would make the Magpies such better in attack.
The BT Sport pundit has added that it would not be a bad idea to sell winger Allan Saint-Maximin and bring in Zaha in his place.
From Manchester United winger Zaha is out of contract at Crystal Palace at the end of the season.
No new deal is in place at the moment.
Newcastle United urged to sign Wilfried Zaha
Ferdinand said: “If I am Newcastle, I would buy him straight off. I would take him, and I would sell Saint-Maximin.
“Or I would have them both. He scores more than Saint-Maximin. Keep Saint-Maximin or whatever, but Wilfried Zaha at Newcastle is a problem.”

Summer move possible?
In our view, Newcastle United would be a better and more potent team with Wilfried Zaha in it, especially if they finish in the European places in the Premier League table this season.
Newcastle would need to better their squad next season, and a free singing such as Zaha would be great for Eddie Howe.
The 29-year-old is at the top of his game at the moment, and he would be able to make an immediate impact at Newcastle.
