After Tottenham beat Manchester City, it seems as though both Dele Alli and Steven Bergwijn have been enjoying their off-time together with the midfielder brilliantly mocking his teammate on his Instagram story.
Whilst Bergwijn has the footballing skills, judging by Alli’s Instagram story, which you can watch here, he wasn’t too impressed with the winger’s driving skills.
Alli posted a short clip of him sitting in the passenger seat of Bergwijn’s car, with a brilliant caption: “When you tryna be calm but then you realise how bad Steven Bergwijn is at driving.”
Well, thankfully for Spurs fans, the Dutchman’s driving skills don’t match what he does on the field of play.
The former PSV player was outstanding against the champions on Sunday and showcased great ability to pick up the ball from deep and drive at Man City’s defence.
Bergwijn didn’t get on the scoresheet but he was one of the top performers for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
This is a big season for both of the above players, but especially Dele because things haven’t been going well for the England international for some while now.
If he falters under Nuno’s services then questions will be asked of the player, but if he can get back on the road then that pathway should no doubt lead him back to the England set-up.
On his day, the attack-minded midfielder is one of the best midfielders in the country.
The only problem is that Spurs fans just haven’t seen enough of that for a number of years now.
