Trevor Sinclair told talkSPORT that he would omit Liverpool midfielder, Jordan Henderson, from England’s final squad for Euro 2020.
The ex-Hammer claimed that Liverpool’s captain has been out for a ‘long time’ and despite being the ‘leader in that group’ he wouldn’t take him to the Euros.
Gareth Southgate has selected a strong 33-man squad for the forthcoming Euros, with Henderson expected to be on that plane when he cuts that down to 26.
But given Henderson’s lack of game time, Sinclair will be chopping his name from the list, which Liverpool fans won’t like.
“I think Jordan Henderson, he has been out for a long time and he’s a big leader in that group,” said Sinclair.
“He has got a lot of experience, but he has just been injured for too long. And I think he gets omitted.”

On one hand, if someone like Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold don’t go then the Liverpool supporters interest in England at Euro 2020 will heavily decrease.
But it would also mean, along with Virgil van Dijk, their star men will be fresh and ready for the new Premier League season in August.
Even though Henderson has had limited game time, a man of his experience, character and quality needs to be selected.
