Whilst West Ham prepare for their comeback to Europe later this evening, former striker Sebastien Haller was having a party last night by scoring four goals in the UEFA Champions League.
The now-Ajax star had a night to remember as the French striker bagged four goals for the Dutch giants in their stunning 5-1 win over Sporting Lisbon.
Haller’s tally put the striker alongside the likes of Bafetimbi Gomis and Olivier Giroud as the only French attackers to score four goals in a single Champions League match.
Indeed, it was a historic night for the former West Ham star. The performance was also the first time Haller had ever scored a hat-trick in his professional career.
Haller joined West Ham in the summer of 2019 after impressing with Eintracht Frankfurt, where the attacker scored 20 goals in all competitions the season before.
However, the French attacker failed to light up the Premier League despite the Hammers paying a club-record fee for the striker. A lack of goals saw Haller join Ajax in January 2020.

And the forward has since found his form again for the Dutch giants. And on social media last night, West Ham fans were stunned by Haller’s performance in the Champions League.
Here’s what some Irons fans had to say about Haller hitting four goals in a single game on Twitter…
