Watford manager Xisco Munoz is reportedly facing the sack after the Hornet’s 1-0 loss to Leeds United. And Newcastle United fans are fuming.
According to the Athletic, the Spanish coach is under increasing scrutiny from the Watford board. That is despite a decent start to the season for the newly-promoted side.
The Hornets sit 14th in the table, four points ahead of Newcastle and level in the table with the likes of Leicester City and ahead of Leeds. However, this is Watford we’re talking about.
However, the Hertfordshire side are notorious for knee-jerk managerial dismissals. And it wouldn’t be too surprising if Watford pull the trigger and sack Munoz despite their decent start to the campaign.
Indeed, with the 41-year-old manager actually impressing this campaign, you can understand why some Newcastle fans on social media are fuming that Munoz could face the sack whilst Steve Bruce remains employed with the Magpies.
Newcastle fans can’t believe Munoz could face the sack

The Toon have had an awful start to the season, with Newcastle sitting in the relegation spots with no real hope of escaping the bottom three with Bruce still at the helm.
As you would expect, Newcastle fans on social media are livid that Watford could sack Munoz as Bruce stays in his position with the northeast club.
Here’s what some Newcastle fans had to say about the story on Twitter, with a few supporters fuming about the report…
