Leeds United need more quality midfielders and the 23-year-old fits the bill.

As well as Leeds United are doing this season there are question marks over certain areas of the squad, not least the centre of the park.
While Liam Bridcutt, Eunan O’Kane and the ever-improving Ronald Vieira are doing well, that is it when it comes to genuine options in central midfield (although fans of Kalvin Phillips may disagree) and Whites boss Garry Monk must strengthen this summer, whatever league they find themselves in.
If Leeds are promoted they may look to bigger names such as Fabian Delph or Aaron Mooy, but if they remain in the second tier, the club would be wise to consider Burton Albion’s Matt Palmer.
The 23-year-old has just under 18 months left on his current deal and he is a firm fan favourite after coming through Burton’s youth ranks.
He also has the potential to be a future star and Leeds may be wise to make their move before someone else does.
The fact that Luke Murphy is currently on loan at Burton could help Leeds’ cause, with the possibility of a negotiation involving the players heading permanently in opposite directions this summer.
Only time will tell, but Palmer is the real deal; a player with great positional sense and a fine set-piece delivery who is only going to improve with time.
