The West Ham United youngster will be spending the rest of the season in the Championship.

Martin Samuelsen has long been regarded as a fine prospect at West Ham United, but the versatile youngster must now prove himself during a loan spell with Burton Albion.
Samuelsen, who can play as a central midfielder, a winger or a forward, will spend the remainder of the season with the Championship club, as reported by BBC Sport.

The 20-year-old was on the bench for West Ham’s FA Cup third round replay against Shrewsbury Town this week but has found first-team playing time difficult to come by for his parent club.
Samuelsen is no stranger to a loan spell having had spells with Peterborough United and Blackburn Rovers, but he is now approaching the stage in his development where a decision will have to be made regarding his long term future.

This latest loan is especially important for Samuelsen as he seeks to prove to David Moyes and the West Ham coaching staff that he has the quality to make the breakthrough at the club.
If Samuelsen demonstrates that he can perform consistently then Moyes may well be persuaded to incorporate him into the first-team squad next season.
However, the Norwegian prospect will be aware that if he struggles at Burton then his hopes of success at West Ham could be hindered.
