The Burnley manager was linked with the Everton manager’s job last year.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche was among the candidates to succeed Ronald Koeman at Everton, according to reports at the time.
Koeman was dismissed by Everton in late October, but his position remained vacant for another five weeks – in which time Dyche, along with Marco Silva at Watford, were prominently linked with the role.
It eventually went to current incumbent Sam Allardyce, who has struggled to win over the Toffees’ fanbase despite having taken their side from 13th place to ninth in his three months in charge.

Burnley, meanwhile, remain on course for a European place despite a sudden loss of form since mid-December.
When asked, however, if he had dodged a bullet by not landing the Everton post, Dyche replied, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo: “There was no bullet to dodge” – intimating that an opportunity never presented itself.

Would Dyche have been a good appointment for Everton – should the Toffees consider him if Allardyce leaves this summer?
