Sunday afternoon sees Burnley take on Arsenal as the Gunners travel to Turf Moor.

A comfortable win will be expected for Arsene Wenger’s side, who have started this season well by picking up 13 points from their first six games,

Their hosts will not give up the points easily, though, especially after their impressive win over Watford on Monday evening.

Key players for the two sides are midfielders Steven Defour and Santi Cazorla, with both having played a key role for their teams at the beginning of the campaign.

But who has fared better so far? We decided to take a look at the stats to find out.

Burnley's Steven Defour scores their first goal

Surprisingly it has been the Burnley man as he came out on top in five of the eight areas we looked at.

So far this season Defour has won more tackles, more interceptions and posted more ball recoveries per game than Cazorla.

He has also registered more key passes per game and managed more assists, with a tally of three compared to two in the latter.

Arsenal's Santi Cazorla

The Arsenal man has, however, been the better passer, registering considerably more accurate passes per game and a better overall passing accuracy.

Cazorla has also scored more goals, having found the back of the net twice compared to Defour’s solitary strike.

Nonetheless, it is a win for the Burnley man and they will be hoping he enjoys similar success when the two sides clash on Sunday.
