Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham looks likely to spend another spell on loan away from Stamford Bridge this season after an impressive spell with Bristol City.
Bristol City’s Tammy Abraham takes on the Birmingham defence.
Tammy Abraham scored 23 goals in his 41 league appearances as he shared second place in the Championship scoring charts this season, alongside Brighton’s Glen Murray and Newcastle’s Dwight Gayle.
The 19-year-old’s goal scoring exploits for Bristol City are made even more impressive by the fact that they came at a club who finished seventeenth in the league, only three points clear of the relegation places.
Burnley’s Sam Vokes celebrates scoring their first goal with team mates
Parent club Chelsea will aim to loan him to another Premier League side this season with Brighton and Newcastle United interested in taking the Chelsea youth product on loan, reports the Telegraph, but Burnley should also consider signing the teenager.
Sean Dyche’s side have struggled for goals this season, scoring only 39 goals in their 38 Premier League games.
Forward pairing of Sam Vokes and Andre Gray have played a part in 25 of those 39 goals and the Clarets will need to bolster their attacking threat if they are to survive another season in the Premier League.
Burnley’s Andre Gray
The loan signing of Tammy Abraham would provide movement and a goal poaching threat to Sean Dyche’s struggling attack, complementing the hard work and energy of Vokes and Gray.
His ability to find himself in the right place at the right time would add an extra dimension to the Burnley attack and he could form an exciting partnership in a front-two attack for the Clarets.
The future looks bright for Chelsea’s youngster and a move to Turf Moor could be the platform Abraham needs to prove his worth in England’s top flight.
